- Karine Valtanen, Senior Credit Analyst - Structured Credit Management Team, Commerzbank
Karine Valtanen is a Director in the Structured Credit Risk Management Team at Commerzbank. Previously, Karine spent a year at the European Banking Authority (EBA) where she was a policy expert within the credit market and operational risk unit, which is part of the regulation department. During her time at the EBA Karine worked on issues related to the regulation of covered bonds and securitisations. Karine was on a secondment at the EBA from the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA-BoE) where she was a Senior Risk Specialist in the Structured Finance team within the Supervisory Risk Specialist Division. At the PRA, Karine was mainly focusing on the treatment of securitisations achieving capital relief and development of regulatory approaches to prudent valuation and capitalisation of structured financing solutions in general. Prior to that, Karine was at UBS Global Asset Management in London in the fixed income team where she was responsible for analysing and investing in various types of structured credit products. Karine has also worked at AXA Investment Managers in Paris as part of the Structured Credit Investment team where she was a CDO analyst looking at potential investments across capital the structure.
Karine is a French citizen and a DESS in Financial Markets from the University Paris IX Dauphine (Paris).

Andrea is a Director in PwC's Financial Services Assurance Risk and Regulatory Group in Zurich. He joined PwC in August 2017 from Barclays in Singapore where he was the Regional Head of the Finance Regulatory Policy team. Before that Andrea worked for several years at Credit Suisse where he held the role of Global Head of FINMA Regulatory Assurance based in Zurich and EMEA Head of FINMA Regulatory Reporting in London. Andrea started his professional career at a Big4 company where he passed the Swiss CPA and CFA exams.

Ruben Cohen is currently an independent consultant. He has been working in the financial industry for over 17 years, with most of the last 10 in operational risk analytics at Citi and more lately in model risk at BAML. Prior to that, Ruben spent 10 years on the faculty of Mechanical Engineering & Materials Science at Rice University in Houston, specializing in Fluid Mechanics and Thermodynamics. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from M.I.T. and has subsequently obtained an M.A. in Economics from McGill University.
Ruben is based in London and has published over 50 papers in a variety of areas, including engineering, physics, economics and finance.

Oivind is a chartered accountant with over 15 years' financial services experience, seven of which were spent within the regulatory capital team in a global corporate and investment bank. Oivind is a leading member of BDO's Financial Services team specialising in prudential regulation.
Oivind has broad experience of prudential regulation including liquidity and capital adequacy advisory. He has worked with a diverse client portfolio, including large and complex investment firms and investment banks, small international investment firms and UK challenger banks. He has led several Skilled Person assignments with focus on liquidity governance, Pillar1/Pillar 2 calculations, ICAAPs/ILAAPs, risk management frameworks and COREP regulatory reporting. Most recently, Oivind has advised several international banks on their governance and reporting frameworks.
